Vianeta Communications: May 2005: Volume 2

Dear ASP Customers:

On Thursday night, May 19th 2005, during the regularly scheduled maintenance from 11 p.m. PST to midnight, we will be deploying an important subset of the Tiger release onto the Vianeta ASP Data center. This will include a new software module called DANTE Server (Document Analysis & Transformation Engine) which will replace the erstwhile DPA. This together with Speech Recognition related changes being deployed on May 19th will result in following improvements / changes to user experience:

Data Center upgrade Details

1. Sporadic complaints of documents not getting converted to Word will get eliminated.

2. Word version of documents (HTM or VUE) that go through QA will not appear in WebEMR until after the final sign-off by the last MT. This should eliminate sporadic complaints from WebEMR users accessing a Word version of the document that is not in synch with the QA'd version of the source document (HTM or VUE).

3. For customers without ADT feed (or even with ADT interface, when Physician had punched in the wrong MRN) - any changes to patient demographics made by the MT will immediately get populated in Vianeta data center database. This should eliminate the sporadic complaints of '-1' in MR numbers field, or the inability to search documents in WebEMR by patient names - sometimes even a while after the MT signoff.

4. PDF will be removed as an option for download from WebEMR

5. Supervisors logging in after the upgrade will see an added ability to search by patient names in View Specific Jobs feature. This screen will look different and easier to use.

6. Several Supervisor screens will show a new system user called SREC (Speech Recognition), and other options related to Speech Recognition. Speech Recognition service, however will not be enabled for any Customer unless explicitly purchased by Customer and enabled by Vianeta.

7. There will be no visible User Interface Change with WebEMR in this portion of Tiger release deployment for ASP customers.
